What is your first name?

Does Your name have any significant or sentimental meaning?

The name was given to me by my father. Unlike everyone who often wished for male kids, he loved and adored female. He referred to me as his joy. Same as the meaning of the name “Abigail – A father’s joy.”

What is your background/heritage and why is it important to you?

I’m American. Abigail is a woman of strength and wisdom. In all situations, I do not have to look down on myself. I should derive strength and wisdom in the fact that I am female. I should not show any sign of weakness.

What is the most challenging experience you have faced or are currently facing in your life and how did you/are you facing that challenge?

The most challenging experience so far was securing my current position at my place of work. I had the experience and the know-how. However, the management believes females are better at being secretaries or receptionist. As a type that won’t settle for less. I keep pushing until I was given a chance. I’m performing wonderfully well, even above their expectations. This is something to be proud of.

What do you think will make the world a better place and what role can you play?

The world will only be a better place if we contribute our quota to the community we are. Shun bad habits, and encourage good deeds. I encourage people not to give up with any challenges they are facing in life. No matter how tough it can be, when there is life, there is hope.

What do you wish others would know about you that they cannot tell on the surface?

I am caring. I also love helping others, especially other female counterparts. It pains me when people look down on us as a weak type. This ought not to be so. That is why I discourage gender inequality and encourage ladies to always believe they can achieve the unthinkable.
